Starbucks Medicine Ball Tea: Worth The Hype?
Written by Sarah Hester, MS, RD
“Medicine Ball Tea” was a secret menu item that was requested so much by customers that Starbucks has officially put it on their menu and named it Honey Citrus Mint Tea. Some swear by this drink when they’re feeling under the weather or have a scratchy throat, but what is actually in it?
The tea is a combination of two different teas Starbucks carries (Citrus Mint® green tea, Peach Tranquility® herbal tea), steamed lemonade and Starbucks’ honey mixture. A Grande has 130 calories and 30 grams of sugar. Green tea does contain caffeine so this is a caffeinated beverage.
Verdict?
It is delicious! I was surprised at how much the peach complimented the mint but did not overpower it.
