Healthy Mother's Day Gift Guide for 2023 | Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Approved

Written By Illa Garcia MS, RD, CEO

Want to show your mom how much you value you mom or wife on Mother’s Day? Help her to prioritize herself by gifting her some health inspo products! These are a mix of items that I’ve actually bought my own mom and mother-in-law that they’ve loved so definitely Momma-approved!

The Complete Salad Cookbook

I bought this for myself and my mom and we’ve enjoyed trying the different recipes and texting each other our reviews! There are so many fun spring recipes in here that will be perfect for produce ideas for this time of the year.

Nutr Nut Milk Maker

I actually bought this for my mom for Christmas that past year and she uses it almost every day! She enjoys being able to control all of the ingredients that goes into her almond milk. This can be a fun way use up all of those extra nuts that add up in the pantry!

Hoka Running Shoes

What is it about Moms loving Hokas?? Probably because they’re sooo supportive and comfortable. Treating someone to a new pair of tennis shoes can help them to be excited about being more active. Follow this up with a walking date for some quality time!

Lululemon Powerstride Tab Socks

I know that socks aren’t the most exciting purchase, but I think that’s why they’re actually a great present! Especially supportive socks like these. People always forget to buy themselves nice socks so if you gift them, you’ll finally have that present idea that they wouldn’t already buy themselves!

Fitbit

Moms (or at least the ones in my life) are always a little late to the tech game. And you’d be surprised with the amount of moms (and non-moms) that I work with that don’t have a smart watch! For someone that doesn’t want to fully commit to an apple watch, a fitbit is a great idea. This will help to remind her to get those 10k steps in!

Sur La Table Cooking Class

If you live close to your mom, or are planning on visiting soon, consider a cooking class! I usually buy these for my husband for his bday or when we’re on a vacation, but this would be a fun activity to do with your mom too. They have many different classes to pick from. I highly recommend the knife skills class! Not super sexy but I use the skills that I’ve learned in that class every time I cook.

1 Month of Meal Delivery from Hello Fresh

Give your mom a break from cooking! Gift her with a month of meal delivery kits. These can be a great way to decrease the meal-planning and grocery shopping. Plus it’ll push her to try produce in a different way, which will help her to be healthier overall!

Quality Water Bottle: Hydroflask (my pick)

There are so many fun water bottles out there now, but this is my current fav! Water bottles are another one of those not-so-fun gifts but will be something she uses every day. Help her to stay hydrated this spring and summer with a fun water bottle to bring around!

Vitamix

A little bit of a pricier gift, but sooooo worth it. I bought mine 7 years ago and use it so much! If you have ever hated the way you’re still needing to chew your smoothies, this is the solution! Buy one for your mom and she can make healthy soups, smoothies, and sauces!

Apple Watch

Do it. Buy the watch. She deserves it. What I love best about this present for mother’s day is that you can connect with your mom/ wife if you have a watch too! I connected with my mom and brother so I get alerts every time she works out. We send each other comments through the watch to cheer each other on and even will chat on the phone when we see changes. Like my mom started swimming recently! I talk to her about her going in the morning, how often she goes and then it encouraged me to try new ways to be active as well.
