We are back with another client case study interview! Madison Foley worked with TMN Coach Courtney, who works specifically with a lot of our clients who have a history of eating disorders and want to lose weight. In this episode, Madison shares her experience of how Courtney helped her overcome years of diet culture messaging and fad diets with small goals and mindfulness around triggers so she could finally achieve a healthy relationship with food and exercise.

Some key takeaways from Madison’s Weight Loss Journey:

  • There is so much messaging out there about what “healthy” or “balanced” weight loss looks like, but it is NOT eating healthy Monday through Thursday and going all out on weekends, following restrictive fad diets, or only eating 1200 calories a day. There’s a better way!

  • There are also so many stigmas around foods that are actually good for you. Fruit does not have too much sugar to make it healthy - it still has plenty of fiber and water content to keep you hydrated and full for lower calories overall!

  • Working with a Registered Dietitian is essential for making sure you’re losing weight and building habits in a way that’s good for your physical and mental health. An RD (like our TMN Coaches!) will guide you through with the education and compassion you need to make empowered choices!
