What to Eat When You're High | The Official Munchies Guide
Written by Vanessa Carrillo
Ahhh you just took a hit of your pen (or joint) to settle into the evening. You just turned on Hulu and your heated blanket when all of a sudden it hits- the munchies. I personally don’t smoke, but I’ve seen my friends munch out and then feel sick afterwards. This usually happens because they load up on chips, candy, or heavily oily foods.
Here are 7 low calorie, high protein, and produced focused foods that will help you stay on track and feeling good.
Walking Tacos
Per serving, these walking tacos only come out to 150 calories with 12 g of protein. They’re crunchy and savory- the perfect combo when you’re feeling good.
2 Savory and 1 Sweet Yogurt Dip
Only 50 calories per serving. If you’re unsure if you want something sweet or savory. These 3 dips are for you. All 3 dips call of Greek yogurt, so each one will be high in protein. Pro Tip: add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to the strawberry one for an extra boost.
Sweet Yogurt Dip
If you’re like me and have a sweet tooth, then you’ll love these 3 sweet yogurt dips. You get to choose from chocolate, key lime and almond butter! If you don’t have key lime on hand, just use regular lime or lemon.
Banana Sushi
The perfect snack to bring you back to middle school. These banana sushis are fun to make and eat. This is just another creative way to eat more produce. Feel free to spread jelly or your nut nutter of choice. Pro Tip: sprinkle in some chia or flax seeds for an omega-3 boost.
Berries and Whip Cream
This one doesn’t call for a recipe unless you want to make whip cream from scratch. All you need if your fruit of choice and canned whipped cream. I love berries because they’re fun to eat, but any fruit will do the job.
Chocolate Pudding
This is a go to in my house because it’s quick and easy to make. It’ll curve any sweet cravings you have. Bookmark this one!
Marie Callender's Chili Angus Beef
Only 320 calories and 15 g per cup . This is my personal favorite healthy chili. It’s the better tasting canned chili out there. I’m a fan of the simple ingredients and taste. It’s low effort to make and high in fiber.
